Pour comprendre les liens entre utilisation de produits menstruels et santé des femmes, nous effectuons un #sondage en ligne auprès des utilisatrices :

Mieux connaître les utilisations de produits menstruels - CUPS2

We have room for contributed talks and (free) registrations for our 2025 #phylodynamics meeting in Paris from Nov. 24 to 26, 2025.

https://phylo2025.sciencesconf.org/

Guest speakers are Emmanuel André (KY Leuwen), Noémie Lefrancq (ETH Zürich), Lu Lu (U of Edinburgh), and Eduardo Mojeno (IFICS).

Our future clinical study (soon to start) on menstrual protections and women's health #CUPS2 is now listed on clinicaltrials.gov

Registration and abstract submission are now open for the 2025 #phylodynamics conference that will take place in Paris from Nov 24-26.

Confirmed guest speakers are Emmanuel André, Noémie Lefrancq, and Eduardo Moralejo.

Congratulations to Bastien Reyné for the publication of his PhD chapter in @plos computational biology 📰

He shows that if you assume the same level of #leaky #immunity (everyone has 50% susceptibility) or #polarised immunity (50 % have 0 susceptibility and 50 % have 100 % susceptibility), the resulting epidemiological dynamics can be very different.

This underlines the importance of better characterising the functioning of immune protection.

Leaky or polarised immunity: Non-Markovian modelling highlights the impact of immune memory assumptions

Author summary Epidemiological models that incorporate immunity often rely on strong assumptions about immune memory, yet the assumptions are rarely acknowledged or justified. Using a non-Markovian framework, we explore the implications of choosing leaky immunity (all hosts are partially protected) over more commonly assumed polarised one (some hosts are fully protected and the others fully susceptible), We find that leaky immunity comes with a shorter time between reinfections and alters estimations of some metrics such as the number of reinfections.

Notre équipe recrute un-e attaché-e de recherche clinique (#ARC) sur un #CDD de 12 mois pour implémenter l'étude clinique CUPS2.

Les candidatures sont à envoyer au service #emploi du @collegedefrance

🙏 Thanks to our guests Nicola Low, Janneke van de Wijgert, and Jacques Ravel, as well as to all the speakers of the 2025 vaginal microbiota dynamics conference in Paris last week!

Thanks also to the @collegedefrance, Université #PSL, and the @ANRS_MIE for their support!

Rendez-vous next year (perhaps in Montpellier).

The #program for the #conference on #VaginalMicrobiota and #STI dynamics on Sept 3-4 at @collegedefrance in #Paris is now online with guest talks from Nicola Low, Jacques Ravel, Asmaa Tazi, and Janneke van de Wijgert.

Don't forget to register because the number of seats is limited!

🗞️ Congrats to @OlivierSupplisson from the team for his impressive analysis of massive #HPV data (362,963 tests performed in France from 2020 to 2023) published in #Eurosurveillance.

🔎 This is analysis at the #postcode level (!) was made using hierarchical #Bayesian models.

It has implications for #screening as he shows a risk of systematic inflation of high-risk HPV infection prevalence.

Maps also show increased prevalence for #HPV16 and #HPV18 in some areas

The #abstract submission deadline for our #conference on #VaginalMicrobiota and #STI dynamics has been extended to Jluy 14.

The conference will take place at the @collegedefrance in Paris on Sept 3 and 4. We have short (10 min) and regular slots (30 min) available.
