🌊 On #WorldOceansDay, we celebrate the oceans that connect, sustain and inspire us, and we look ahead to our upcoming audit report on the EU’s #marine protected areas, due in the second half of 2026.

🗺️ The EU’s #seas cover around 5 million km², a larger area than its land territory, and around 40% of Europeans live within 50 km of a coast. Seas and #oceans are vital to life, biodiversity and the economy, making their protection more important than ever.
