Biiiiiiig stretch!

annoyed at the "a CANADIAN died in ICE custody!" which is tragic, but it often sounds like someone with a real, important nationality died and NOW we should be alarmed

we made a simple green roof for our backyard home made sauna and this week I’ve noticed a varied thrush and an American robin hunting worms/insects on it or just hanging out. they don’t seem to distinguish it from the forest floor, it’s very cute #birbs

I had a magical moment yesterday when an adorable tiny baby Icelandic horse ran up to me for head pets. I couldn’t believe how soft he was, like bunny fur!

Almost everybody is in the pond.

We call this fella Doofus. Three years ago a young hawk was born in one of our trees and spent awhile learning to fly around our yard. He'd crash land right in front of us and just... stand there awhile and look around. He let us get pretty close to him, too. He's been hanging out here in the summers ever since then. Sometimes he flies down and looks in the window.
