@DrRoo Definitely keeping as passive observer, as some of the 'good folk' I follow haven't made the move yet, such as https://twitter.com/StationCDRKelly?t=TCnEmtSTMYuHuvLY7Vv0zw&s=09

@DrRoo Another reason to retain the Twitter account for the time being at least is to use it to persuade people to move here. (Good people, that is, not the trolls.)
@DrRoo I voted with the majority, this time apparently. On that platform, I've stopped following additional accounts, deleted all my DMs and won't be posting.
I'll check my account from time to time, but just to observe the implosion.
@DrRoo I feel much lighter of heart over here. Even when I joke on t'other site, it's often morbid or bleak humour. A better place all around.

@DrRoo
Definitely a difference in the dopamine systemπŸ˜€

🐘is much more relaxed! 😎

@DrRoo

Indeed.

I confess that the other place is where I still doom scroll. So long as it survives and some real blue ticks I follow remain only there, I will continue to check it.

A very different experience on the #Fediverse using Mastodon. Including, currently at least, more engagement from the 'experts' I follow, freed from the trolls that spoiled the signal to noise ratio.

@DrRoo @Sbectol Mine was mostly people RT politics. 🫀
@DrRoo Yes. Same response. Keeping Twitter open for my small business and that’s all I am now posting there. I had a peek at some of my timeline and it just felt overwhelming. I trudge over to Twitter whereas I skip into Mastodon because I know I will see at least 5 beautiful things here on my timeline. I do have a couple of lovely DM groups there so I keep up with them.

@DrRoo
yeah,in that bird app what i felt was
i am inundated with many information which are superfluous.

Sometime it made me feel like I am lacking knowledge, skills.
also
I felt some sort of stress while scrolling or interacting.
I felt the urge to do something in order to gain attention

Here in this app(mastodon) i feel like "i am the only person using this app"
I don't feel any kind of stress here (until now)

@DrRoo I find this site far more stressful. Over on twitter I understand the social model I'm dealing with, I know what the tools to deal with problem are and where the limits are, and I have a pretty good intuitive understanding of how to identify a likely-problem account. Here, I'm dealing with an entirely new social model and I don't have any real grasp on where the lines are with the various moderators. The threat I know, etc.
