In this short video, I discuss the origins of our studio, Doomlaser, going all the way back to my very first software release for the Classic Mac: Mr BagelButt

Schmoyoho, of Auto-Tune the News and the viral Bed Intruder song had this to say about it, in 2024:

"have searched for this for years—THANK YOU, EL DORADO EXISTS AFTER ALL! 🙏😫🫡"

I also talk about the looming importance of local LLMs and other fun things

‪In this fun video, I talk about Tap Tap Revenge, which was written by a small team including Jonatan 'cactus' Söderström, Kevin Coulton,
@Gte, and myself.

Steve Jobs played the game at a keynote. We did videos for Daft Punk, Justice, Coldplay, etc

In a 2015 radio interview I described AI inference as high-level algebra and argued that the hardest problems would be institutional, not technical.

That interview recently resurfaced on Slashdot, so I updated the Doomlaser about page to clarify the long-arc through-line behind the studio’s work.

Dream Factory is a narrative & performance system I’ve been building here at Doomlaser

Built for writing, editing, and performing scripts, with AI treated as a controllable instrument—not a black box.

A modern wireframe style, inspired by Atari’s Tempest.

Video is first person. No guns (just arms), physics, and glowing geometry in cyberspace.

I wanted the wires to feel alive so I've updated the style: subtle screen-space gradients, depth, and motion, like stepping inside a vector display's glow.

Built solo. More experiments coming.

@mcc Mac OS 7.5 had this feature, I seem to recall. It may be even older than that.

Today, we're sharing the OPENING CINEMATIC to our game SET IN ANCIENT EGYPT:

FORGOTTEN GODS OF MEN.

A Lovecraftian horror game set in the late 1920s.

Imagine you're a professor, driven by the loss of your wife, on a quest that leads you to an unimaginable discovery...

If you're wondering about this one, I suggest you turn the audio on 🔊🎼🎙️ — What's a DJ Screw remix doing in here? — What's that audio from TERMINATOR 2 signify?
We're working on an RPG for today's world. This is a video that speaks to culture as a concept, powered by our game's depth (?) and hidden media treasures—WAY OUT WEST!
