So, I determined that the “1000 hz” ONN mechanical keyboard only has a 1khz usb polling rate, and doesn’t matrix scan at that rate. It scans at a paltry 65-70hz. Which is absolutely horrible.

For comparison, a Corsair K55 polls AND scans at 1khz, which is in a similar price bracket, albeit a membrane. Even $5 dollar Dell keyboards scan faster.

Makes me wonder how many other cheap mechanical keyboards have a really slow matrix scan rate.
