I recently discovered an online game hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Each day there's a set of 10 objects with anywhere from 1 to 10 photos and you're asked to identify the place from which they come & their approximate age on a timeline, with up to 5,000 points each for location & date. If you guess the opposite side of the world you might get 2 points out of 5k (as I did today) but despite my ignorance I usually total 60k-70k. You might enjoy it! https://anthropeum.com/.

A daily game that challenges our understanding of human cultures. Ten objects. 5,000 years of human history. Guess where and when each artifact was made. See how you rank.

When news came that the US defence secretary, Pete Hegseth, would be travelling to Normandy to mark D-day,
some in the seaside village of Langrune-sur-Mer – where the afternoon ceremony was slated to be held – felt they had to speak up.

“We found it unbelievable that they could send someone who held views and values contrary to democracy, human rights, peace and Europe,” said resident Chantal Richard. To her, the incongruence felt deeply personal. “We grew up going to D-day ceremonies, some of us had grandparents or parents whose lives were affected by this war.”

The view led Richard and the 40 or so other members of Langrune en Commun, a residents’ association, to sign a 179-word statement. Published days before the 82nd anniversary of the D-day landings, it called for Hegseth’s visit to be cancelled.

“The honour of Langrune, that of France and the memory of the young allied soldiers – American, British and Canadian – who died on our beaches in the name of democracy demand that this individual’s visit be cancelled,” it said.

Les ingérences étrangères sionistes de blackcore contre LFI aux municipales évoquées à l'étranger :

> ✡️🇫🇷 Tel Aviv company linked to alleged interference in French elections — reports

Paris prosecutors have opened an investigation into possible foreign interference targeting three La France Insoumise candidates in the last municipal elections in Marseille, Toulouse and Roubaix, BFM TV and Le Monde reported.

🇮🇱 France’s Viginum watchdog described a “malicious campaign” involving an actor located abroad, using artificial or automated dissemination to spread “manifestly inaccurate or misleading” content.

👎 According to the reports, the operation involved fake websites and social media accounts spreading accusations of crimes against the targeted candidates.

📌 BlackCore, a company based in Tel Aviv, has been named in media reports as allegedly behind the operation.

🤥 So, controlling the US isn’t enough, huh?

🔍 Prosecutors said the investigation will examine whether an underlying foreign interference operation targeted the LFI campaigns, with possible offenses including “intelligence with a foreign power” and voter manipulation through false news or fraudulent maneuvers.

⏳ Waiting for French AIPAC to pick the next president.
