Well side from some odd 19th century racism in the first chapter this book owns. It's very tense! I kinda wish that the next time someone adapts it they'd keep it in the era it was written in. I know it was written to be contemporary so thus all adaptations have been but I wanna see some 1800s people being like oh no martians
