Security researcher by day, weird deer lady by night. Big fan of usenet and smolnet and prone to talking in equal measure about Linux and stuffed animals.

Drinking beers and making deers. This one I spent more time on the sculpting of the head, and tried to make the nose a little more dynamic. Ears are still rough, but I can work on that

Voxel deer head at gradually larger resolutions. So far I'm most proud of the larger one!

I should probably start dialing in how wide i want the head to be. The muzzle is starting to read a little bit like a big beardy cat mouth

Just received a package from @runZeroInc , and I have to show it off a little bit.

I am not normally one to get excited about corporate swag but, on top of a nice hat and some cool socks, I was sent this challenge coin that spins, and works as a decoder ring. This is, without a doubt, the coolest challenge coin I've received. Thanks RunZero!

Sometimes I read amazon reviews on canned foods for fun.

"Most important thing about c h o p l e t s" is going to live in my head for the next few weeks.

Quick sketch, trying out some methods I saw on a youtube video for making quick toony faces. Little scribbles of color to kind of imply points of interest.

It reads as a little more wolf and a little less deer. The muzzle stripe is a really defining characteristic in a lot of species of deer, but I think the muzzle shape and nose shape kind of mess it up. Either way, it was a fun sketch to do in between things at work

Went to Mister Bagel with the husbear, saw this sign, said "I guess Mister Bagel cares a lot about cryptography."

My husband said "want me to take a pic with my phone so you can send this to your hacker friends?"

Nalbound mittens! My first nalbound garment that I actually want to wear out and about. The right mitten is a little wonky, as it was my first attempt. I might make a third mitten following the same basic technique I learned for my left mitten, but for now I am very pleased
Got the christmas lights put up!

Went to the flea market, bought this walking stick with a bust of Franz Schubert as the handle. It was already the right length for me, and the guy selling told me it was a sentimental piece, as he had been handed the stick while he was blindingly drunk at a big mansion house party hosted by some rich guy he didn't know. He told me that, by the time he stumbled out of the house with the stick, someone had gotten drunk enough that they started spraying a garden hose directly into a second story window as a prank. Got it for $40.
