Gradually some elements of the Church are beginning to be more open to the LGBT community. Cardinal Robert W. McElroy supports changing the Church's catechism and removing the expression that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." He says that "intrinsically disordered" is "a terrible word and it should be taken out of the catechism". Is there hope for some optimism?
