Striking similarities

My printed Lego head keyboard knob.

I’m teaching myself CAD stuff and I also got a new keyboard this week that came with a knob button.

Tired of my minifigs falling over, I designed and printed a Lego topper for my Mac Studio.

I might make a cutout for my @BasicAppleGuy shiny sticker.

Did I design and print a wee Greek column to store wire snips on my desk?

Yes.

Did I order new white snips on eBay that matches and then modified the design for it?

Yes.

Excaliper V2 | Caliper Stand for Desks/Tables by Quintessence Studio MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models

I present to you all the Excaliper V2! I needed a way to put my caliper away, and after fiddling around, I came up with this. It's a perfect print for leftover filament. It's a very simple stand, no supports needed. It's perfect for flat surfaces liked desks and tables. It is designed to be a stationary stand, meaning it's not designed to withstand significant movement/wiggle. I highly suggest you use some double-sided tape to secure it better to a surface. You may reduce the layer height if you want more detail as this is a pretty detailed 3D model. Since not all calipers are exactly the same size, I encourage you to adjust the dimensions of the part until it properly fits your own calipers. You can use Bambu Studio's measuring tool to check the slot size and then readjust it accordingly. You’re probably wondering: “How do I measure my caliper if I can’t use the caliper itself?” One option is to trace the caliper’s tip on a piece of paper and measure the outline. If not, a simple ruler (and a sharp eye) will do the trick. Key improvements over the original include:Larger rockDeeper, and tighter cut that allows for a better fitNew model from the ground-up (Original)Boost MeIf you enjoyed this model, please consider boosting! I designed and 3D printed a tiny Saarinen tulip table for an Eve HomeKit motion sensor…. I don’t know why.
