20-Sided Diner — Formerly a board game idea I opted to turn into a t-shirt illustration.
This is "A Gross of Goblins," literally 144 goblins. I prepped a bunch of vector blobs as the ears, heads, and eyes. I randomized them in a spreadsheet to vary the silhouettes unpredictably. Then I drew the facial features and other details in pencil at about 1.5x scale. After scanning those faces, I superimposed them back onto the heads and added some colors.
