Protests matter.

These companies have PEOPLE in them. People who have to tell their dates or in laws where they work. People who have to see protests outside the office window.

Denver activists ran #Palantir out of the city and then handed their playbook to the activists in Miami, where Palantir moved.

For everyone who thinks there's no way the Gulf states will pull out of financing deals for data centers and the Paramount merger because they must prioritize these highly speculative bets over rebuilding the fossil fuel infrastructure that is the source of ALL their wealth;, for all those who say "iron-clad" contracts will trump the inescapable fact that these countries will go broke if they don't rebuild, I give you Mike Tyson's motto:

In 1943 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber.

This is making the rounds again, and it’s always kinda bugged me that the person who wrote it never gets attribution.

This was first posted by Iam_temidayooyetunde on Threads back on 06/03/2025, it was subsequently picked up and made to look like a book page by an addiction support group. From there it spread, with attribution taking me way longer than usual to trace, I’ll be honest.

But the first recorded appearance of this text was in two posts on Threads, by this user.
