Uh-oh.

Television rec of the week
(or maybe of longer than the week, depending on long it takes me to find another show to recommend):

'Small Prophets' by Mackenzie Crook.

Currently available on BBC iPlayer.
Quiet, low-key sharply observed humans, not making other people's lives, or their own, easier.
Possibly magical realism? Not entirely sure which genre it sits in.

Non-connected anything.
Have complained about this before, but I don't actually need my dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven or fridge to be connected to the net.
No matter how manufacturers try and pitch it, that's not to our advantage, it's to theirs so they can brick it to sell us a new one.

Struggling with story structure atm.
Rethinking the structure of The Big Novel, and realising I don't know what I'm trying to *say* with it.

Do I need to actually say anything? Can it just be a neat idea?
