Saw #CandyLand (2022), an #Indie #Horror #Slasher film, this weekend, It centers on the grisly fates of sex workers operating out of a remote American Southwest truck-stop, and has no association with the childrens' board game. The amount of story and character development in its 93 minute runtime while also making it an emotionally engaging slow burn is impressive....

I was enjoying a perfectly pleasant conversation with Daphne (who has a very good grasp of humanese) and I made the mistake of saying that the topic we were discussing was quite the curiosity. That dreaded c-word that is rumored to be harmful to cats. Man, the look of disapproval she gave me, I felt it in my soul. She got off my lap, stepped down to the floor, turned her back to me, and is refusing to engage. What a curio….oops, a befuddlement. #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon #Catstodon
It’s a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon, and as I sat down and laid my gloves on my lap, Daphne leapt up and nestled her head in them to take a nap. It’s an awesome feeling. #caturday #CatsOfMastodon #Catstodon
I can’t believe it’s now 5 years to the day since I lost my younger brother. Counter to expectation, the loss seems felt more deeply year after year, though as I also lost my father and my older brother a couple of months before that, I expect that I’ve been stuck in a spiral of numb for the last 5 years, and the feelings that have needed felt are still slowly inching to the surface. I miss you, Joel, but I seek to be thankful that you no longer suffer. Would that we all could find such grace.
Finished assembling and setting up my new #Framework Laptop 12, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It is an absolute pleasure to use. It’s so well thought out for component build/replace/repair almost indefinitely, and was packaged so conscientiously, which is nice to see in a new tech product. I have it set up with #Linux, and will soon put it to work on a long-term project for which this will be a perfect tool. I can’t even remember the last time I enjoyed a nerding endeavor this much.
