I haven't used X in years.
Idea for a video: Something is obviously about to happen, and Roundabout starts playing, but just as the thing is about to happen, the frame is about to freeze, and Roundabout is about to hit the part, something else unexpected, preferably entering from offscreen, happens and Last Resort starts playing instead.

Mayhem?

No, "May mlem."

Sex workers are much more valuable people than liberal op-ed writers

More insightful as well

It turns out that yes, a launch tower successfully pulled a soyuz off of an exploding rocket and got the crew to safety.
So, after hearing the Bezos's cocket (cock-shaped rocket) blew up, and checking to make sure it wasn't crewed, I started thinking about escape towers (the little rockets on top of the capsule of a big rocket). They're supposed to pull the capsule off of the rocket and get it to a minimum safe distance before an explosion (and high enough for the parachutes to work). And I was wondering if they'd ever actually been used for their intended purpose, and if they actually worked.

I love how some people are trying to reframe AI's nondeterminism and the errors that result as being "unfair" to AI.

The claim is, "People make mistakes, why would you hold AI to a different standard?"

Because it's a fucking machine. And you're fucking anthropomorphizing it. I want a machine I use as a tool to not just be useful, but there are tasks that require reliability.

Computers should do as instructed, and if your instructions were fucked up, then your output should be fucked up.

But if my inputs are golden, and my output is shit, don't tell me I'm holding a non-living, non-breathing stochastic tool to different standards vs. a person, because yes, I fucking do.

And we all should.

Non binary people are who they say they are

Conditional acceptance of one's identity being dependent on "being good" is not acceptance at all.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them.
