2) Loosen the 10 head bolts in reverse order
3) Torque the 10 head bolts to 33 ft-lbs in order
4) Torque the 10 head bolts 60 degrees clockwise in order
5) Torque the 10 head bolts 60 degrees clockwise in order
6) Take ibuprofen.

So far so good, except for the bolt I dropped into the engine.

Cracked exhaust manifolds can be repaired, but “why did they crack?” Has to be addressed and “how can this be prevented in the future?” You never get to leave work.
