My grandmother passed away 4/2 from late stage 4 cancer found in numerous systems.
I'm still broken from this, as I'm quite close with all of my family.
My wife and I had a son late 2023 and I'm very happy my grandmother got to meet him before she passed, but it still hurts to know she isn't here with us now. She didn't get to meet my nephew who appeared 4/1.
Fuck cancer - call your grandparents. Call your parents and siblings. Tell them you love them.
Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Okay back to being fun lol. Besides the corporate sponsor xFinity popping up pretty frequently, this movie is a blast. Dumb, over the top, reminiscent of old 80s action movies. Best one of the three so far. Cassandra Scerbo returns in all her objectified glory, and is honestly the best character in the film. Frankie Muniz bites it really fast but was a cool addition. Also Hasselhoff. Mother fucking Hasselhoff.
Sharknado 2: The Second One. Okay so the first one was dumb funny/serious shark storm. This is Celebrity Cameo The Movie. Honestly it's jarring whenever they pop up, which is nearly literally EVERY scene. I know know it's a movie about a shark storm - but it really takes me out of it. Also Matt Lauer and Jared Fogle. Bleh. Much weaker than the first. And Fin is suddenly this shark killing badass? Weird. Much weaker than the first. Just seems soulless. Idk

Sharknado 1. Did you know there were 6? Yeah I didn't either. What can be said. It's so bad, it's good. Really strange seeing Tara Reid in this, I can only ever see her as the girl from American Pie. If you haven't seen it at this point definitely do so.
My son is nearly 2 months old. I got 10 minutes into the maternity ward episode of House (S01E04) and had to skip it.
My uncle had his son around the time Pet Semetary came out, and walked out of the theater when the "truck scene" came on. I always though that was a little ridiculous, but I get it now.
I absolutely adore being his father, but he's seriously hampering my love of media. Worth.

The Super Mario Bros movie. Wow. After seeing the train wreck that was the 1993 release, I was forced to go in with low expectations. I was blown away. The in-your-face and subtle reference throughout the film are great, the voice acting was actually really well done, the animation is endearing and clean, and it's a good time from start to finish. If you care at all about Mario Bros, watch this film.

The Rookie (so far up through season 2) has perfected the art of the cold open. It's a really fun show and anything with Nathan Fillion in it is worth a watch. Definitely watch it.
