Rethinking the line I cut from my newsletter about how the eXbird site just runs the Benny Hill music on repeat. I tried to log in to X (first time since it was Twitter) to find the posts by Mandiant about how they didn't have 2FA when their account got taken over. Twitter immediately hid the posts I was looking for behind a banner asking me to deactivate SMS 2FA.... okay? Click "get started" and it sends me to my settings page, which fails to load, glitches out, and then serves the same banner again. DEACTIVATE YOUR 2FA. Okay. DO IT. I said okay. DO ITTTT. So anyway... anybody know why Mandiant didn't have 2FA turned on?
