Cooper Point Rd is a 5-piece folk music band from Seattle, WA. Formed by Mike Todd (guitar and vocals), Garth Reeves (mandolin and vocals), Brian Trinen (button accordion), Gregor Visconty (bass guitar), and Perry Morgan (drums). We play traditional American and Irish folk songs, original songs, and a few covers.

The full schedule for 5 days of St Patrick’s festivities at Conor Byrne Pub in Ballard. We — Cooper Point Rd — are playing twice: first at 9pm on Friday March 13th, and then again the next day when the pub opens at Noon. Also Brian is doing a solo show on guitar to open the pub on the 17th. So pretty cool.

A fun night of Irish music coming up on Friday March 13 at Conor Byrne Pub / Coop in Ballard.

Cooper Point Rd performing at Tim’s Tavern this past Saturday night. Fun show with a great crowd, and the Haggis Brothers who headlined were excellent. Thanks to everyone who came out for it.

PSA for all the local musicians out there:
Often when you play in a bar, they give you drink tickets as a courtesy for a couple free drinks per band member. When you use those to get your drink, you need to tip the bartender 20% of the price of what that drink would have cost, because she didn’t give you a drink ticket out of her pocket, she’s just back there doing the noble work.

Irish music in December. We’re playing a show at Tim’s Tavern on Saturday December 27th (TONIGHT!) along with the Haggis Brothers. Doors at 7, we go on at 8pm.

We were really just working on some recording this winter, but then shows popped up without us really looking for them. So now we’re back to focussing on the live act(s):

December 27 at Tim’s Tavern in White Center playing mostly Irish songs

February 12 at Slim’s Last Chance in Georgetown playing a more original and American folk set

A couple shows around St. Patrick’s day doing Irish pub songs.

A party later in March doing a two long sets of everything we got.

It’s another Bandcamp Friday and on such occasions we ask that you check out our debut EP (Mike calls it an album but we know).

Also, we are in the moddle of recording an album of Irish pub tunes. Look for that in February.

Brian has his own solo album releasing today on Bandcamp so check that out too:
