It has arrived. The new AeroPress XL. For a decade or longer, people begged Alan Adler (inventor of the AeroPress) in our old CoffeeGeek forums to release a larger version of the AeroPress. Now it's here.

Spending the weekend getting familiar with these brewing devices from Next Level, who make no-bypass coffee brewers. Trying to avoid any previous review / info on them, using them from scratch, reading the manufacturers' instructions only and watching their demo videos.

One of my new most favourite things in coffee. The Hario 140ml Stick Bottle.

Is that an espresso in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? BOTH!

We go through a LOT of #HarioV60 filters at CoffeeGeek. Testing equipment. Reviewing coffees. Side by side evaluations. When it's time to restock the supply cabinet, we order them by the thousand.

Just a work of art.

Time More is becoming a major player in several niche areas of specialty coffee, and their grinders are rapidly becoming the industry leaders, in features, design, quality of build, ease of use, and price. They just keep improving the Chestnut C series; the latest is the Chestnut C3S Pro model. Featuring the
"spike to cut" in-house designed 38mm burrset. Even the handle is amazing. And that colour!

Very, very close to a perfect visual extraction.

I can still (barely) pour latte art. I find it's a skill that definitely degrades if you don't practice it daily. I used to be able to bang out hearts and rosettas no problem. Now, it's a challenge.

The #AeroPress Clear has arrived. Principle photography done, now it's time to test and use this cute brewer.
Got the new #AeroPress Clear. Unboxing and photos this afternoon, usage start and initial testing (though not much - it is identical in use to the existing AeroPress) tomorrow!

I'm really thinking about winding down CoffeeGeek's participation on Twitter.

There's still some positives -- specifically all the coffee charities still heavily involved on the platform -- but the owner's increasingly conspiratorial stance makes it a harmful platform.

Time for the last drop? Probably very soon.
