For those who haven't already seen it, I have posted the latest sad update on my health over on LinkedIn today. Thanks everyone for all your unending support over these recent times! <3

** Severe content warning on health! ** Unfortunately as is so often the case with these things, my health has declined much more suddenly than we had hoped, all very shortly after my last appearance out at a Manchester meetup. In my last recent post here I mentioned things weren't looking good. We were trying out some of the last line treatment available for the cancer, but that in the meantime I'd keep battling and hoped to still get to as many meetups with all you lovely folk as possible into 2025. However, as some will have seen on social media, following a few long stays in hospital throughout December and January since, the conclusion has been reached treatment has already failed. So movement is now solely towards keeping me as comfortable and able to stay at home with family as long as possible now. While some explorations are still being made on ways to get me moving outside, it seems therefore highly unlikely I'll be seen out again. Meaning November's Umbraco Bristol meetup and December's Umbraco Manchester/DotNetNorth social were the last in-person events I'll have been at, and any meetups/conferences for 2025 are firmly off. I may still be able to make some virtual events of course, but otherwise it's going to be about relaxing out what is expected to be final weeks or months now. Thank you so much to everyone in the tech community for just what a difference you've made to my life these past few years, and I am proud my contributions back to everyone have made a small difference and even gave me a chance to make it to #Umbraco MVP status once. And of course going forward if any of you lovely folk I know here are about in the Manchester/Stockport area and want to pop by for a home visit then do get in touch and see I'll how I'm doing as I will welcome the company if comfortable. The good news is I am finally out of hospital.
The bad news is that being back home where I have a baseline, it's now quite clear just how downhill I've gone in such a short space of time.
Keep everything crossed for me as I need it. You know I love you all regardless!
Heading out into Manchester to join the DotNetNorth/Umbraco Manchester lot for the Christmas social. It's always good to see the local crew!
(Yes, how well I manage this evening will be the real test for whether or not I do Umbraco London on Thursday too)
After launching the new Umbraco Backoffice, “Bellissima” with #Umbraco 14, and Umbraco 15 literally out tomorrow, we’d like to bid a fond farewell to our incredible Backoffice Community Team! 👋💙
Read about the team and their achievements over the last two years, helping to shape Umbraco and the backoffice for the better!
Thank you #H5YR! 🎉
