@MariaHill @TonyStark @AgentCarter_SSR I must be doing something obviously wrong, and I've migrated once before, but I just get that funny feeling there's something I'm missing. It won't let me migrate. It acts as if I have to already have an account at resistance.social in order to migrate to it. Tony explained this once before. I'm face-palming but when I figure out it'll be worth a laugh, I bet.

@InternetKevin Let's hope it's the American people and not a bunch of corporations and foreign nations posing as the American people. I think a lot of folks are mighty confused, you know twice in the last 20 years the winner of the popular vote did not become president.

@InternetKevin In a lot of ways, America went into denial mode after the civil war. Racism is still ingrained in our culture and it's atrocious and intolerable. Capitalism is as unbridled and amoral as it was during the time of the Robber Barons. For 200 years we've turned a blind eye to the egregious failings, breaches and flaws in our system, failings which prevent us from approaching or achieving the very ideals to which we claim to aspire. As white people it was easy, we were lazy. Time's up
Opinion: It's time for America, which is supposed to aspire to higher ideals, to embrace a thorough review and amendment of our history, and accordingly, to our culture. It's the 21st century. Time for a brutally candid look at the past, and without erasing it, choose to de-glorify those parts of it which are repulsive to an evolved multiracial civilization. Only this way can we look forward with a fair and honest commitment to progress towards realization of our shared ideals and aspirations.

2/3 of Prisoners in California haven't been convicted but wait in jail because they can't afford bail - the rich folks, of course, are not among them. If you're stuck in jail you can't defend yourself, so the outcome is predetermined against the poor. The system is predatory. It's why "we have the best justice system money CAN BUY" it needs to end.
