We’re still working our way through all the feedback and comments from WebDayOut, and we are completely blown away.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared thoughts, asked questions and made the day what it was. The energy in the room, the conversations between talks and the ideas shared on stage are a reminder of how valuable it is to step away from our screens, come together and learn from each other once in a while.

We’re already thinking about what's next 👀

Tomorrow we’ll be gathering in Brighton with a brilliant group of speakers and a room full of people who care about building better for the web.

If you’re joining us, safe travels and see you soon.
If you’re still thinking about it… there’s just about time 👀

If you're looking for a good excuse to step away from your screen, learn something new, and maybe make use of that training budget before it disappears, may we suggest Web Day Out.

It's a one-day event for people who care about the craft of the web and it's happening next week!

Don't forget our service design breakfast is this Thursday morning.

We'll have all the usual pastries, coffee and service design chats, with the addition of a guest speaker this time. Let us know you're joining so we have enough chairs to sit on and enough croissants to go round 👉 https://ti.to/clearleft/service-design-breakfast-march-2026

Five years after creating a digital design system for Malvern Panalytical, we’ve partnered again to explore new ways to showcase their precision laboratory analytical instruments.

Through a focused ideation project, we helped uncover opportunities to better communicate the value, clarity, and innovation behind their products. Great to keep building on a strong foundation together with the team 🙌

Your next breakfast and service design fix will be next Thursday 5 March. Same time, place and format as usual 🥐☕️

As always, if there’s a specific topic you’d like to explore or something you’d like to bring to the table, we’d love to hear about it. Whether you want to share a few thoughts, bring along a short presentation, or simply listen in, it’s completely up to you. Just let us know.

Is neurodiversity the next frontier of accessibility in UX design?

Accessibility has come a long way in the last twenty years, but the journey is far from over. Neurodiversity, which encompasses the unique needs of those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other cognitive variations, is reshaping how we think about inclusive design. Join us for a panel discussion facilitated by Clearleft's Fred Bullock, featuring: • Jamie Knight – Digital accessibility specialist, principal engineer, podcaster and lion tamer. Jamie has years of experience in advising organisations on how to create better digital experiences for autistic users. • Craig Abbott – Design lead and accessibility specialist, currently working as a principal accessibility consultant at TetraLogical. Craig specialises in sustainable accessibility and embedding accessibility into organisational policies and processes. • Priyanca D’Souza – Senior user researcher and accessibility specialist. Priyanca works to ensure that accessibility and inclusion are embedded in user research and service design practices. • Joan Herlinger – Experienced UX designer and creative director specialising in accessible, intuitive, and meaningful experiences. Expert in WCAG 2.2 guidelines with a focus on neurodiversity. Together, they will explore some big questions: • How does designing for neurodivergent users drive innovation? • What practical steps can teams take to create more inclusive experiences? • How do we balance universal design with personalisation? Join us to discover why neurodiversity is not just an accessibility tick-box but a creative opportunity to build smarter, better products for everyone. This interactive online panel will provoke debate, generate new perspectives and spark actionable ideas. Register to join below.

Webinar: Reimagine user interviews with AI

Together with our friends at Voxpopme, we invite you to explore the potential for using AI tools to manage your qualitative research processes. The session is hosted by Luke Hay, senior UX researcher at Clearleft. With special guests Tom Higgins and Katie Walker from the Voxpopme team. You'll gain practical tips and experience a live demo of the tools that could help you spend less time wrangling research logistics—and more time doing what you love: understanding your users. There will be plenty of time for Q&A. What we’ll cover: Why UX teams are turning to AI to make user interviews smoother and faster. How AI can help you prep like a pro, crafting discussion guides and questions for both moderated and unmoderated research. How to fast-track your analysis with AI-powered summaries and interactive chat. Real-world examples of teams using these tools to crush their research goals.
