Seneca's friend Serenus described a condition many senior engineers will recognise: not failure, but a persistent restlessness caused by the suspicion that your efforts are not being seen or valued correctly. Seneca's response was not "stop caring." He asked Serenus to examine what he actually needed the recognition for.
When someone else presents your work as their own, the Stoics would not counsel passive acceptance. They would ask what you are actually losing. The answer matters more than the remedy.
