Today, I walked through the Muir Woods National Monument. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I reflected on the history that transpired there with mixed emotions. Inspiration, from the message of hope and the beautiful natural setting. Jealousy, of a time that we had a president who helped protect such a wonderful forest. I also felt shame. Shame, hopelessness, and profound sadness from the direction our country has taken recently.
It's worth a visit.
