For me, personally, having access to the same conversations/chats on multiple different devices with cloudsync is WAY more meaningful than E2EE.
It's not even close. And if the desktop app is super clunky (looking at you Signal and WhatsApp), it's a complete dealbreaker for me.
If you can't use the Signal app on a desktop, laptop, tablet, phone etc. all at once, all logged in, it's a no-go.
Or if it won't show me my chat history...
Google Chat seems like a pretty decent chat app in all fairness.
And before you jump at me, I'm not a huge fan of Signal, sorry.
I have Signal and I've used it, but it's just way too clunky and lacks way too many essential features for my liking.
Telegram is usually my preferred choice simply for the vast feature set.
Like I get it that not every chat app is as secure or privacy-friendly as can be, but loads of people use stuff like Discord to chat and that's not either?
It's funny in a way how some people view gaming as a red flag but are completely fine with watching TV.
And when it comes to dating profiles on apps like Tinder, I've seen lots of mentions about hating cats.
Like how the fuck do they get a pass with that?
Imagine if someone wrote "I hate dogs" on their profile? They'd get hanged or something lol
It sickens me...
I actually had this one friend who once just bluntly said that he hates cats.
Hates. Let that sink in. He didn't say that he's not a fan of them or anything milder.
That phrase really irritated me and my my mother also thought that it's a very cold thing to say, especially since my friend fully knew my mom's a cat person and she's had multiple cats.
Being a dog person does NOT make it any more socially acceptable to vocally dislike cats compared to being a cat person who'd vocally dislike dogs.
Yet many people still think it's totally ok to call cats assholes and whatnot, but they take great offense if you say even the slightest negative opinion about dogs.
Of course not everyone is like that.
I, for one, don't hate any animals, yet I'm a cat person by heart, through and through.
Cats and dogs are equal.
And say what you like about the AA-batteries, but I much prefer long 40h battery life that I can easily hotswap without ever going wired for recharging.
AA rechargable batteries and chargers are dirt cheap and you never have to worry about some inner battery degrading over time and not holding a charge anymore.
I wish they'd do an 8bitdo and provide both: an included battery and the ability to pop in double As. That's be even sweeter!
The Steam Controller is cool and all, but even when taking those fantastic trackpads [that we fell in love with with the Steam Deck] into consideration, I just can't justify the 100€ price-tag when I can literally get two Xbox Series X controllers for that price.
I know they don't have TMR or hall effect sticks and what not, but they're some of the most comfortable pads around!
And the robot white color variant is currently discounted from 57€ to 50€ where I live.
So I ordered another one.
