‪Today’s Good Comic I Like: Test, by Christopher Sebela and Jen Hickman. A human test subject leaves the lab they were experimented on in search of utopia. An interesting sci-fi premise with art that suits it very well.‬
‪Helped my friend move. It’s 92 degrees outside. He owns the heaviest furniture on Earth. I’m legally dead now. Tell Natalie Portman I loved her.‬
‪While I was a little bit bored when I started it, I REALLY liked Stranger Things 3 the more I watched it. And what an ending.‬
‪Today’s Good Comic I Like: Lois Lane, by Greg Rucka and Mike Perkins. Comics’ best reporter takes on corruption and crooked politicians in a series very grounded in today’s world.‬
‪“Midsommar” was disappointing. It didn’t know what kind of film it wanted to be until about halfway through, and left a few plot threads dangling or unsatisfactorily resolved.‬
‪Feel old, nerds. I just saw a kid who was too young to recognize the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.‬
‪Today’s Good Comic I Like: No One Left to Fight, by Aubrey Sitterson and Fico Ossio. A love letter to battle manga like Dragonball, about what the heroes do with their lives when all the battles are over.‬
‪Today’s Good Comic I Like: Superman: Up in the Sky, by Tom King and Andy Kubert. Superman goes to space to find a kidnapped girl. The writer who best handles why characters are who they are and do what they do tackles DC’s most noble character.‬
‪Gutted to hear that Mad Magazine is closing down later this year. It was always one of my goals to have print something of mine. I sent them a submission years ago and always meant to send something again. Sad to think I’ll never be able to.‬
‪Today’s Good Comic I Like: Seven Soldiers, by Grant Morrison and a variety of artists. Seven heroes star in separate but loosely connected series, all fighting the same threat. The idea was to create a team where the members never met in an interesting experiment with the medium.‬
