Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: AFSA / UNDROP Consultation on Farmers Rights to Seed : Mashauriano ya AFSA / UNDROP kuhusu Haki za Wakulima kwa Mbegu. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.

AFSA, together with the UNDROP Working Group, is organising three official Zoom consultations to inform the Working Group’s upcoming report on peasants’ right to seeds under Articles 19 and 20 of UNDROP. The consultations will bring together farmers, community seed custodians, and their organisations from across Africa. The aim is to gather experiences, challenges, and recommendations from rights holders to help strengthen the recognition and protection of farmer-managed seed systems. Each webinar will explore: • actions farmers are taking to protect and share seeds • key barriers they face • recommendations for governments and other institutions The consultations will help ensure that farmers’ voices inform global discussions on seed rights, food sovereignty, and agroecology.
