I’ve seen a lot of confusion about the Green Party’s by-election win, especially from people who don’t usually follow UK politics.
I tried to explain why it matters, in plain English, without the noise.

##UKPOLITICS

Last night felt like a hinge moment for UK politics.

A Green MP elected in the North, with a clear mandate. Not on fear, not on culture war panic - but on hope and credibility.

Today feels like the first genuinely hopeful day in British politics for a long time.

“Playgrounds will become crack dens.” That was the warning from Labour minister Sarah Jones about drug decriminalisation under the Green Party's proposed drug reform. But real reform is about regulation, public health, and harm reduction. I wrote an article that combines lived experience, UK policy analysis, and lessons from Portugal and Oregon to illustrate what meaningful reform actually looks like.

'I was once called a conspiracy theorist for noticing patterns. What has changed is not my beliefs, but the world’s willingness to acknowledge what is happening in front of it. The danger now is not paranoia, but complacency'

Hi all, I usually write about trans rights, but my latest article steps back to look at something broader: how civil liberties and protest rights are being eroded in both the UK and the US through legal, procedural means rather than overt force.

One of the most striking elements of the recent NHS England guidance is the instruction that GPs should not conduct routine blood tests for trans children who are receiving gender-affirming hormones…

Trans people in the UK are being wrongly refused vital hormone prescriptions, risking serious health consequences.

I've created an action toolkit: how to request GP accountability and push for change.

We are hearing more and more reports of trans people being refused their vital hormone prescriptions — some being cut off from care entirely, others forced to wait months for re-approval.

We need to act now — calmly, professionally, and collectively.
