Saw a queen bumblebee in the park today! Never seen a wild queen 😍
Does anyone know what this is? My first thought is an egg sac. It's made of fibre and has little black balls in it.
Tried #reading Jane Eyre in #Spanish on #EWA (a language-learning app that has an excellent library feature). It's a medium level and I was doing okay, understanding most of it, but my god Charlotte Brontë's sentences are long. So I've switched to an easy one (The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe - right picture). Much more manageable and I'm powering through it. It's so sick being able to read a #book in Spanish. #humblebrag

Mussel shells - rinsed, dried and smashed up into spiky little pieces - make an effective #slug-deterring #mulch that lasts a lot longer than eggshells. #gardening
