I've enjoyed #cohost so much that I even forgot about this place. Really hope I can find the folks I followed there and that they keep sharing their stories.
In conclusion: Please advocate Mastodon’s developers to add the ability to turn off replies. It might be our best way to discourage this genre of racist flame-warring, until the people who engage in that behavior do some major self-reflection.

Lynn Conway was remarkable in a number of ways but I think the reason her death hits me so hard even though I didn’t know her personally is the most unremarkable thing about her: One of us got to live her life quietly, grow old, and be remembered fondly as herself in death.
I think that’s all I really want.
