The award shines light on the relevance of the research performed in the 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, and showcases how rational design of MOFs can actually impact the progresses of technology and improve our daily lives.

Congratulations to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi for receiving the 2025 #NobelPrize in #Chemistry for their pioneering work on metal-organic frameworks #MOFs. 👏 #MOFs can be used for gas separation and hydrogen storage - only two applications among many for which the 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 at our Department has been preparing and characterizing these frameworks for 20 years.

Am 3. Oktober heißt es wieder: „Türen auf mit der Maus“. Unser Aktionstag, an dem Kinder und Familien in ganz Deutschland hinter die Kulissen von Werkstätten, Küchen, Ateliers, Museen, Forschungszentren, Unternehmen u.a. schauen dürfen, steht in diesem Jahr unter dem Motto „SpielZeit“. Und beim Voting auf die-maus.de und KiKA.de wurde entschieden, welche der vielen Türen wir in unserer Extra-Ausgabe der Maus öffnen sollen.

"Türen auf mit der Maus" hieß es wieder am 3. Oktober – und wie im letzten Jahr öffnete das Science Center panOPTICUM der SAOT - Erlangen Graduate School in Advanced Optical Technologies der @FAU seine Türen. Doch nicht nur das: In der am selben Tag ausgestrahlten Sondersendung zum „Türen auf mit der Maus“-Tag wurde die Farbforschung unseres 𝗟𝗲𝗵𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗵𝗹𝘀 𝗳ü𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲 in einer der Sachgeschichten vorgestellt. 🤩 🌈 🦋 🔬

For the tenth time, the Abby-Net Summer School took place from August 2 to 9, 2025 – this time in #Alberta. The students worked on their own concepts for sustainable urban development in #Banff. Key focus areas: waste management & implementation of a green heating supply.
