@numodular We, the USA, have made a massive contribution to this environmental disaster. As soon as we finally started to try to make a dent in the damage we are doing, the felon was reelected. And now, in just about every arena imaginable, we are going decades backward. It’s pretty bad when China and Saudi Arabia are doing better at making improvements than we are. I’m so ashamed of my government.

“Today, the clothing trade generates some 170 billion garments a year…while also holding the distinction of being the world’s second-largest consumer and polluter of water.”

Huge mountains of used clothing that we waste, “fast fashion.”

What your cheap clothes cost the planet

A global supply chain built for speed is leaving behind waste, toxins, and a trail of environmental wreckage.

@hauntedhideaway My response to them is this: if you feel bad for what people of European heritage (white) have done, perhaps you should conscientiously consider why you feel that way, and then actively work to prevent a continuation of the harms done to people of color in this country.

It’s pandering to. #Putin. If the felon is so eager to give up Ukrainian land, and to limit the size of their army, let’s just say we do that, too. Take all that money that goes to the military industrial complex and give it to funding healthcare, education & the environment.

Trump plan to end Ukraine war would cede territory to Russia

President Donald Trump’s plan for ending the war in Ukraine would cede territory to Russia and limit the size of Kyiv’s military, according to a draft proposal obtained by The Associated Press. The proposal would also prevent the future expansion of NATO, a significant victory for Moscow, which views the alliance as a potential threat. In addition, $100 billion in frozen Russian assets would be dedicated to rebuilding Ukraine. Trump’s push to end the war could drive a wedge between himself and European leaders, who are likely to oppose any agreement that could be seen as rewarding Russian President Vladimir Putin for his aggression.
