In a survey of 25 countries, the United States was the only country in which more adults describe the morality of their compatriots as bad than good. 53% of respondents said that the morality and ethics of other people in their country is either somewhat or very bad. Since this is a new question for Pew Research, the team says they don't know whether this is a long-held view or something new. A million miles away in sentiment, but just kilometres away geographically, 92% of Canadians think other Canadians are either very good or somewhat good.
We are aware of recent reports regarding targeted phishing attacks that have resulted in account takeovers of some Signal users, including government officials and journalists. We take this very seriously.
