An insider said that the system was so poorly designed that it was being scrapped and rebuilt from scratch. The My Health Record project which has blown out by 16 times and is now estimated to have cost $746M and delivered an "outdated, clunky, PDF-based system."

The amount of waste is truly astounding. I've worked in IT for over 20 years and can't fathom how that much money could be spent building what is essentially a CRM. Where does incompetence end and corruption start?

Consultants are supposed to bring commercial thinking and expertise to the government, but they're just gauging massive fees out of the taxpayer.

This is Peter Dutton Australia's opposition leader. He's a sort of late-to-the-party Trump wannabe who has embraced misinformation, division and spite. Despite this, every word he utters is breathlessly repeated by Australia's loathsome mainstream media, including the taxpayer-funded ABC which was corrupted during nine years of conservative rule.

Right now he's very upset about being called a racist, despite having implied the entire Palestinian population are terrorists and demanding that they not be allowed to enter the country.
