The attack on #Iran is a shocking act of war were all the involved parties are wrong.
It’s an attack against a violent decrepit theocratic regime hated by its own citizens. A regime that doesn’t have any problems with murdering tens of thousands of its own citizens whose only sin was to join a protest against the government. A regime that has been destabilizing the Middle East for the past 45 years. A regime that should have gone long ago, and that it’s holding Iran back.
That attack however comes from the Israeli Kahanist regime. A colonialist and genocidal entity worse than the Nazis from all the perspectives. A terrorist regime that has been violating international borders and resolutions for more than half a century and destabilizing the Middle East just like Iran. A colonialist entity that has leveraged each chance it got to violently annex new territories. A genocidal regime that has turned Gaza into a parking lot amid the deafening silence of the international community, displaced and starved 2M Palestinians and killed at least tens of thousands of them. A Nazi entity that shoots teenagers for the sake of it and then lets them bleed on the streets while preventing ambulances from helping them. A Kahanist entity whose ministers join impromptu evictions of Palestinians from the West Bank (“you’ve got 2 hours to leave”) amid a “we Jews are above the law”. An antisemitic entity that is only making the antisemitism problem worse by repeatedly committing crimes against humanity in the name of all Jews.
And the attack also comes from the US. An openly Nazi entity ruled by a mentally deranged an unaccountable thug who has no problems to order federal agents to shoot on disarmed civilians, to jail people for simply sharing literature, to spy on the whole world through its rotten tech oligarchs, to racially profile its own citizens and to incarcerate even people with valid visas who are not white enough. A filthy imperialist entity that has been destabilizing the Americas for decades. A fascist regime whose leader was supposed to be publicly assassinated long ago.
If Teheran deserves the bombs for its sins, so do Tel Aviv and Washington.
The Ayatollah, Netanyahu and Trump all deserve to be jailed and executed for their crimes against humanity.
The world has a duty of hating all of them.
And yet again the great absent from this drama is the UN.
US and Israel are asking Guterres to intervene against Iran - the head of the same institution that they have been actively contributed to delegitimate and defund for decades, replaced by a privately managed and unaccountable “Board of Peace”.
Whatever world will rise from the ashes of these fascist wars between fascist regimes, whatever we try to rebuild after their leaders are dead, it must be a world that puts again multilateralism and international law again at its center.
Because what we’re currently witnessing is exactly what happens when multilateralism and international law die.
And it’s a disturbing copycat of what happened in the 1930s when the Society of Nations crumbled under the pressure of the 20th century fascists.
