Just dug a Mac G4 Cube computer out of the depths of our basement, cleaned it up (was kinda gross), and got it set up. I really like the early-Mac OS X skeuomorphic UI. It’s just really neat and I like to look at it. I don’t know if I’d rather live inside it or eat it.

I’ve got the ability to load in map data and scroll through slowly. Maybe I can optimize it by skipping tiles that don’t need updating. Also due to the size of the levels, I gotta use the extra 2kb of on-cart ram, can’t just rely on the internal 64 bytes worth of registers. Since the map data only takes up 1kb, I’m practically swimming in extra ram now! #retroGaming #channelF #homebrewGame #gameDev

Right now I’m porting one of my older #pico8 games to the Fairchild channel f, the first console with rom carts. Right now no gameplay yet, only just the code for drawing the screen. Since it isn’t real-time it just might be playable despite the low draw speed
