A completely different development of Vixen by Martech has been recovered for the ZX Spectrum and released on Games That Weren't today. An alternate reality of how the game could have been:

The true meaning of Easter, by Stephen Collins (who writes his own amazing #AltText)

"PAGAN GODDESS: Aisle four is full of products, with no hint of the true meaning of the festival!

BECKY: You mean … Jesus …?

PAGAN GODDESS: I mean shagging, Vicky."

I'm a big fan of this explanation/rant from Andrew Murphy.

Taken as a whole, there are many bottlenecks in a corporate software development process. The "load-bearing" calendar is a great example!

Speeding up code creation just increases pressure on the bottleneck, which decreases throughput.

If you thought the speed of writing code was your problem - you have bigger problems | Debugging Leadership

AI coding tools are optimising the wrong thing and nobody wants to hear it. Writing code was already fast. The bottleneck is everything else: unclear requirements, review queues, terrified deploy cultures, and an org chart that needs six meetings to decide what colour the button should be.

Plugged the Steam Deck into the telly and played some Megabonk on the big screen for a change. And... it was great! I should do that more often, I've barely used the dock since I bought it.
Huge relief to finally have a few days off. All those people who say they'd get bored if they didn't work.... You're doing not working wrong.

A fantastic run-through of all the bugs in Jet Set Willy (and their official and unofficial fixes) is available here: https://skoolkid.github.io/jetsetwilly/reference/bugs.html
Jet Set Willy: Bugs

At some point later on Software Projects does actually acknowledge this, and provides a simple patch (one POKE, added to the game's loader program) which can be applied to rectify the problem.
For people who don't know, there's a bug in the original release whereby when you enter a room called 'The Attic' an arrow fires but doesn't terminate properly, and this corrupts the memory for some of the other screens. This means that when you enter those screens later, even on subsequent games, you die immediately and lose all of your lives. You have to reload the game entirely to fix this.
