I don't understand why a group of Progressive Dems don't just form their own and start doing the work.
One of three paths are likely to be then happen:
A) they get a following and assert more control over the party
B) institutional Dems form their own shadow cabinet and displace it
C) Media and/or public ignore it and it dies out.
Whatever happens, we're no worse off
