I swear I didn't get this behind - comics camp was just having some trouble with the images.

#firefly - remembered hollow knight had some firefly-like enemies. never finished the game, but admired their use of gray-tones. Promise that I did a better job with the nuances of their low-saturation blues IRL

#rowdy - NGL for half of these abstract ones I'm probably going to be drawing Maya. Some aspects of this I like, some really could be better

#inferno - I like to stretch myself when I do art. It's nice to remind myself that I /can/ make nice looking things when I...don't try?

#puzzling -cough- Maya again. I was trying out the style of this cool artist I found on the 'tube: https://www.instagram.com/sloeo - the shading is very much not my normal style so I struggled a bit - but I learned a lot and have mad respect for their ability to smoothly blend out things in...any medium, basically. also great use of desaturated colors, which I think is basically my goal for this inktober.

#onion - pay no attention to the fact that most of this painting is not an onion. just remembered this photo that I took. This one had a long ugly phase that...just kinda went away when I wasn't paying attention to it? gouache is a bitch. I should remember to let things dry before I decide that I hate it. also tried to practice more with warm colors, since I, uh, don't actually have any warm colors in my paint palette. except for an orange, which is still technically a cool orange lmao.

I managed to catch one of your human diseases, so I only finished up #inktober last night.

#vacant (though more like ransacked) - a "set" from #EmpathAndAugur - tried something different, conveying lighting through quantity of detail? went...okay

#award - very cute, for a last prompt. At some point Maya gets a reward for her services in Rumregn's liberation. Did a bit of fun vexillogy for the baby republic - the holes for the chain of craters that most of the population lives in, a big 4 pointed star for the "debris fields" where ancient tech falls from the ring of the nearby moon.
