I'm a late-career physicist, currently working on cosmic ray muon tomography. My blessing and my curse is that I'm interested in most everything.

I'm deeply concerned about global warming and the environment.

On my canyon hike yesterday I saw my first bobcat in the wild.

At first I thought I'd only got it's tail in the shot, which is to the right and bottom of the pic, just over the water. But then a friend said "Wait! Is that an eye?" It's to the left of the shot, roughly center in the vertical direction.

Once you see it, the rest of the details of the bobcat slowly fill in.

Clinically insane.
