I am #actuallyautistic and trying to be brave by branching out into the big wide world a little more.
Figured the best introduction would be one showing off my newest piece out of the kiln, this tree full of the #owls of the UK.
In 9th grade, my BFFs and I loved to pass notes. How did we not get caught & have them read out loud to the class? Write the notes as a story in a large spiral notebook we shared! But one day our English teacher caught us! She took the notebook and asked what it was. We explained we were writing a story together. She read a bit and returned it. “How creative!” After class, she gave us extra credit; it was OK as long as it didn’t mess w/class time. And that, ladies and gents, is how it’s done. 😊
Sorry guys my wife says I’m not allowed to dress up in my Italian luchador costume and wrestle people at the local Olive Garden as “The Chicken Harmesan” anymore
Today is the first day of the new fall semester. A have a challenging student returning (hopefully a little more mature) and two new students. Should be an interesting day. #teacherlife

Gaiman: " If you really can't figure out which political party or which politician to vote for, just ask if they're on the side of libraries. Are they voting to fund their libraries? Are they voting to keep them free? Then vote for those guys. They're probably the good guys. And by the same token, the book burners, the book banners, they're probably the bad guys."

“I will always be on the side of the libraries”: A Conversation with Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a fierce supporter of libraries. The author of American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, The Sandman, Coraline, and so many more has had a lifelong love affair with reading. And he credits librarians for fostering his curiosity about books and learning at a young age. Gaiman spoke with I Love Libraries recently about libraries, comic books, book banning in the U.S., movies, and more.

My husband and I are going to find 3 local shelters in the #wildfire areas of #Hawaii to donate to. Many pets and other animals are also displaced and in need. #donate #disasterresponse
In my defense, there was a spider.
Have you tried muttering angrily about it
