I'm on indefinite hiatus. No further posts for the foreseeable future.

Part 2 of my talk about #Alcatraz and my time visiting the island, human rights abuses in U.S. prisons, and how it influenced my book "Closed Campus." #writing #books

It's been in the news recently that ol' 47 wants to reopen #Alcatraz. I visited the island in 2011 and much of the architecture influenced the setting of my book "Closed Campus." The idea of reopening it sickens me. I spoke more about it on Reddit today. #writing

Po-ta-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew! Po-ta-toes! #lordoftherings #lotr #gardening #dumbjokes
Occasionally as I'm writing a book it helps to take a break and sketch out some of the characters or creatures. Sometimes locations as well. One of my books, currently referred to as CBSE, features a few different monsters. All of them born from the psyche of the main character. This is one of them. Fear. It's based off of something I saw in a dream a long time ago. Planning to redo it at some point. Make it look nicer since this was a rough draft. #writing #art #horrorart #horror
Nightmares often serve as ideas for either entire books or parts of them. This one may appear in an upcoming book I'm working on. Haven't decided yet. I drew it 2 years ago from a description of a nightmare I found in one of my dream journals. #horror #artwork #art #writing
Found a rat running around in my backyard today. Clearly my cat has been slacking off. 🫤
🐞 Ladybugs are returning to my yard #gardening
While I was out for a drive today a random pheasant decided to walk out in front of me. I was left to ponder that age old question: Why did the pheasant cross the road? #birds

Friend of mine sent me some photos of some of the protests today. She was passing through Bremerton WA. Across the water from Seattle for anyone that doesn't know where that is. Spent half my childhood there. #Handsoff #Handsoff2025

EDIT: I heard the local paper estimated that there were well over 2000 people on and around the bridge.
