Sam Kriss offers a glimpse into a hellscape - maybe not Dante's inferno, but equally a morality tale... and a very astute observation of my lovely home town today.
Amsterdam to me is filled with reflections of pre-2010 San Francisco in the best ways... but that just means it could turn into this if we don't work together.
The exuberant joy that small children express when its snowing is both heartwarming and an amazing show of human endurance - local kids have been engaged in a 5 hour snowball fight in the courtyard and neither side seems willing to concede defeat.

The EU has decided to accept comment on better involving FOSS in digital sovereignty. It's the last night to do so, but the process is easy, and it seems important for people who see digital sovereignty as freedom and transparency rather then nationalist procurement or autarky to use the chances we can.
I just commented here on ways to better involve FOSS in standardization by streamlining the ossified European Standards Organizations process.

My time working on the Cyber Resilience Act standardization with ETSI is coming to an end soon and I have started looking for my next contract.
