RelationshipYes indeed, with a woman.
@mijndert Same here. Most of the time went into clicking the Next buttons.
@NanoRaptor If Steve Jobs was still among us, he would likely ”think differently”.
@Migueldeicaza As a European, I am annoyed by the fact that Israel can participate in things like the Eurovision Song Contest, because even though it’s only entertainment on the surface, it’s very much a signal from Europe that we accept their war.
@morrick Haha!! I have the missing link! 😆.
(Then there’s the 6th and the very last 7th generation, of course)
@morrick I’ve shared Tiger screenshots in the past, but not sure if you saw this one dated February 27th, 2007. So many great applications for my Macbook. The viking you see in the Dock is the “Tribal Trouble” game which was available for both Windows and Mac (one of the few MacOS X-native games I could find at the time), plus Elastomania next to it. Then there’s also Adium, the Colloquy IRC client … and I think it’s the Delicious movie database app to the right of Tribal Trouble.
@morrick Do you have a 2nd-gen iPod Touch as well, in your collection of hardware? If you already told me in the past, then I forgot about it (sorry).

@morrick Aah! The thing is that the 2nd generation of my iPod Touch couldn’t be updated past iOS 4.2.x. So, I was making assumptions (unfortunately) that I was looking at a picture of not only a newer version of the OS but also the Music/iPod app.

The hardware was good enough to run the OS, unlike iPhone 3G. Performance: in-between iPhone 3G and 3GS. Stuttered when going in and out of apps, sometimes, though. Especially in 3D games. But, for music it was a perfectly fluid experience.

@morrick The old Music app on iOS 4 to iOS 6 was already great. When I look at my 2nd-gen iPod Touch with iOS 4.2, that’sthe one app I care most about, since it’s an iPod first abd foremost.
@morrick Yeah, unfortunately indeed. I feel like Apple made a Forrest Gump move when they took two decades of MacOS X and just changed their mind of achieving excellence.
@morrick I want to point out that it’s a plan E as in ”Emergency”. I don’t *want* to stop using new versions of macOS. If it turns out that macOS improves in the future (improbable but not impossible) it’s still a win-win situation to gain experience in building native apps for multiple operating systems while putting my eggs in more than one OS basket.
