Gestern durfte AquaVentus beim Handelsblatt Wasserstoff-Gipfel in Saarbrücken mit Expert:innen aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft über die Zukunft des Wasserstoffs in Deutschland und Europa diskutieren. Mein zentrales Fazit:
👉 Grüner Wasserstoff ist keine Option – er ist ein Muss für Klimaschutz, Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Versorgungssicherheit.

Hydrogen needs storage – BMWK “Weißbuch” released
The new “Weißbuch” by Germany’s Ministry for Economic Affairs highlights: without storage, there’s no resilient hydrogen economy.
Key points:
• Storage balances fluctuating renewables like offshore wind
• Salt caverns offer major storage potential
• Clear policies and infrastructure upgrades are needed

📜 Coalition agreement CDU/CSU and SPD: Important breakthrough for offshore hydrogen! 🌊🔋
We are delighted to welcome the amendment to the Offshore Wind Energy Act announced in the new coalition agreement (lines 1049-1050). It states:
👉 ‘We will enable the hybrid connection (cable and H2 pipeline) of wind farms in the Offshore Wind Energy Act.’
For us at AquaVentus, this is a key success - and a direct result of intensive discussions and positioning over the past few months.
