My best shot at a stock photo for the #Fediverse, showing its most popular projects.

Please show some mercy, I am not a hand model (obvi) and my masking skills are a little rusty.

If some photographers would like to improve it, I could share my original photo and screenshot.

Hilariously, when I opened the tripod my bracelet got stuck in it and I semi-panicked for a few moments because I was home alone... with a tripod stuck to my wrist. Thankfully I managed to free myself πŸ˜‚

Not that I was interested in trying out #Threads , but this is a massive turn off for me.

Edit: also Threads seems to be so closely connected to Instagram, that if you delete your Threads account, you can also kiss your IG goodbye.

I took a brief look at Threads and you know what I don't want? A Twitter clone where I am followed by my relatives and people I went clubbing with 15 years ago.

I found out in the meantime. You can find communities from Lemmy on Mastodon using the @communityname@server pattern. So @[email protected] will find this community. On Mastodon it’ll appear as a user boosting every post (both top post and comments) and that way you can find individual comments.

It isn’t great, the UX is clearly different and not made for each other, but it works and you can favourite or boost individual posts with it.

I dropped TYT back in 2016 when Jimmy Dore said, "If Bernie doesn't get the nomination I hope that Trump wins," and everyone on the set nodded in agreement. #LGBTQ

Don't wait for the state. Act Now!

You have autonomy, and agency, you have the power to make a difference in the lives around you.

If we sit waiting for a service, or permission, things will never change, more people will slip through the cracks in our system. We can feed people, we can provide them with medical care, housing, etc... We will never make a difference without sacrifice, we cannot be afraid of the state's unjust laws. There are times in our lives when we have a moral imperative to go break them.

Sen. John Fetterman Just Got Brutal On The Supreme Court

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) bluntly said that conservative Supreme Court justices care more about billionaires who fly them around the world than working people.
