This is Breeze. Breeze wants you to know she is a good girl. She is my friend’s springer spaniel. Here she is having lunch with us at the cafe in the park on Saturday in the early spring sunshine. #dogs #dogsofmastodon
Opos. Missed #StandingStoneSunday by a mere 24 hours. Apologies. Here’s a little beauty that’s just by the wonderful #Newgrange in #ireland Photo from my visit on a grey and windy day a few years ago. #neolithic
For today’s #StandingStoneSunday here’s yours truly at the Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from last October. An amazing stone circle that was set up between 2900 and 2600BC. One version of folklore has it they are petrified giants who refused to convert to Christianity. #neolithic #isleoflewis #scotland #outerhebrides
Today’s #StandingStoneSunday is one of the largest stones at fantastic #Avebury Tour party left in for a bit of scale. Photo taken last November 1st 2025. #neolithic

Apologies for being a day late to #StandingStoneSunday My daughter turned 18 at the weekend and the days were both full. Here’s a sunny view of lovely #Avebury from last November showing stones and banks. Boom time. #neolithic
For today’s #StandingStoneSunday here’s a photo from last October’s visit to the amazing Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis in #Scotland. This is a view of the chambered tomb which was added later after the main stones were erected. Amazingly the site was buried under two meters (six feet) of peat for several thousand years before the stones and site were rediscovered in 1857. It is a fantastic place to visit. #standingstones #stonecircles #neolithic #OhCon
