I just wanted to thank everyone who has continued to support my writing and folklore recently. It really means the world to me. Things have been a bit tough confidence wise recently and I've been riding the waves of imposter syndrome but I promise to have news soon about NearlyKnowledgeable 💚
I have often talked about how much of an inspiration my Grandad was for my folklore journey, but what I haven't often spoken about was his battle with Dementia. This year I have decided to honour him by challenging myself to do @dementia_uk 50 miles in January sponsored walk. Today is the anniversary of the deaths of the 'Nine Men of Madeley'. Of the nine 'men', most were still boys who died in a mining disaster. I have rewritten my article to reflect new research about the tragedy.
